Reef waves with Atlantic power
Unlike the flat sandy beaches, the waves in Klitmøller break over offshore reefs that give them shape and force, and the crests often form straight lines. It works best in a west to northwest, clean in an onshore west. Because the coast runs south to north with a kink to the east, the spot catches almost any westerly sideshore.
Our take: For us Klitmøller is the place of longing on the Danish North Sea. When a storm rolls in and the reefs are working, it feels like the Atlantic, only much closer. Nothing for beginners, but a dream for everyone who loves the wave.

Cold Hawaii, 50 kilometres of coast

Cold Hawaii is not just Klitmøller, but a stretch of coast around 50 kilometres long in Thy with over 30 good surf spots between Hanstholm in the north and Agger in the south. If one spot isn’t working, the next is usually not far. That’s what makes the region so reliable for wave hunters.
