Mallorca is more than parties , in the north-east, the bay of Pollensa (Alcúdia) is a relaxed flat-water spot with reliable thermal wind and a mountain backdrop. Short flight, long sun, ideal for windsurfing, wing and learning.
Profile
| Best time to visit | May to September |

| Water | Mediterranean, warm and mostly flat in the bay |
| Level | beginner to advanced |
| Area | bay of Pollensa/Alcúdia in the north-east |
The area
The wide, sheltered bay offers standing-depth flat water , perfect for learning and relaxed cruising. The thermal Embat blows in from the sea in the afternoon; spring can bring stronger winds too. Schools and rental are on site.
Who & when
Ideal for beginners and families: warm, flat water and a wind that reliably arrives in the afternoon. May to September is peak season. Want more? Combine the watersports with the beautiful island around it.
Good to know
Mornings are often windless (SUP or beach time then); the wind comes with the thermals. Mind the marked areas and the swimmers in high summer.
Our impression
The easiest wind short trip from Germany: beach in the morning, Embat in the afternoon, tapas in the evening. Hard to top for beginners and families.
