Baltic waves with a northeasterly, shallows in almost any direction, plus the sunshine island with the most hours of sun. A spot for every day.

Beach and Achterwasser
The long sports beach at Karlshagen runs onshore with east, northeast and southeast winds and turns into one of the best wave spots on the Baltic in a strong northeasterly, with long downwinders. If you prefer it flat, head to the Achterwasser, near Ückeritz for instance, which takes almost any wind direction and offers a huge standing-depth area for learning.
Our take: Usedom is a spot for people who want variety. On a windy weekend you can ride waves and practise in the Achterwasser the next day. Add the many hours of sun and it’s addictive.
