Right next to Wackerballig, on the western shore of the Geltinger Bucht, lie Falshöft and Gelting. The little Falshöft lighthouse, shallow water, wide meadows, this is the Baltic Sea to breathe deeply. A quiet fjord area that you like as a beginner just as much as for a relaxed after-work session.

Calm and shallow
The bay opens to the east and is well sheltered from too much swell with southwest, west and north winds. Near the shore the water stays shallow for a long way, ideal for practising. Important: the Geltinger Birk is a nature reserve, stick to the marked zones, then the spot stays lovely for everyone.
Our impression: Falshöft is not a spot for showing off, but one for arriving. If you like it calm, with shallow water and space, this is the place, and the lighthouse at your back turns every session into a postcard scene.
Getting there and sleeping
Falshöft and Gelting are only a few minutes from Wackerballig, and there are pitches and campsites in the area. You can easily combine the whole Geltinger Bucht into a small watersports weekend.
