Start safely
Waves only come with strong wind, and that brings current with it. Learn to recognise a rip current, never go alone and judge your strength honestly. On the Baltic, wave season is autumn and winter, and nothing works without a warm wetsuit with hood and boots. The fastest and safest way to learn it is in a course at a surf school.
